Before your appointment
- Shave the area one to two days beforehand so your skin can settle
- Avoid epilating, waxing, and plucking – the laser needs the hair follicle as its target
- Come to your appointment with no creams, oils, or deodorant on the skin
- Avoid intense sun and self-tanner in the weeks before
After the treatment
- Wear loose cotton underwear for the first few days to avoid friction
- Skip the sauna, swimming pool, and hot baths for one to two days
- Leave out intense sport for one to two days so the skin is not irritated further
- Slight redness right afterwards is normal and usually fades quickly
